Nice work!
However, there is already a thread for this so I will merge it...

I see that now.

First additions, so please check if I did something wrong or violated rules. Just some things that were asked in the forums or #archlinux recently and are somehow hard to get answers to:
1. resize gtk widgets to better fit small screens
2. Prevent conky being minimized in compiz using show desktop button or keybinding.

I've been cleaning up whatever I can see, working mostly with uncategorized articles. Unfortunately, I'm not a fountain of knowledge when it comes to new content, so I can only fix what I see as broken as I go through Archlife with my new netbook. However, whenever there's any downtime at work I'll be working to clean up as much as I can. As much as I love this site, I think the Wiki still needs quite a bit of massaging. There's a wealth of information there but it's not always obvious how to get to it.

Hey all, now that I have a little free time, I will begin contibuting to the wiki where-ever I can. I am a highly experienced wiki editor, having been one of the admins behind the Ubuntu Document Storage Facility, and having been made admin on the regnum wiki, and admin on a planeshift clan wiki. I also contribute to wikipedia (editing stuff), and I did a little bit of work on uncyclopedia. As for what needs doing at present, well, the request list is a litle empty, though I guess I could make a start on the /etc/modprobe.conf corrections (all 160 of them). Is there an IRC channel associated with the wiki?

You can contact the wiki admins pointone and Gen2ly to get more info and to collaborate on your efforts to improve the wiki.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

It would be nice to have pages on the Wiki like "Top Contributors", "Most Active in the past week", "....month", "...year", "Highest Average contributions per week, all time", etc, that show contribution statistics. There are a few plugins out there for that.

I created my first ArchWiki page on Jekyll, a simple static site generator written in Ruby and developed by GitHub co-founder Tom Preston-Werner.
Great page toad, can't wait to try it out later today.

Cheers, filam. Same goes for your site - well thought out and presented. Takes some doing when one first sits down and ponders about what to do, doesn't it

Another entry is about disabling the clearing of boot messages (it still bugs me that there is no log for that and I don't know where to start creating one!)
systemd supports early boot logging (via /dev/log). as far as arch's bsd boot process is concerned i think all you can do is use minilogd for output for dmesg and of course prevent tty1 from being cleared.

In the wiki entry for Skype, I've moved security from Installation into its own section and added a subsection on AppArmor and a stub subsection on Tomoyo.
This leads me to a question, is there a template for section stubs?

Template:Expansion is worded such that it can apply to individual sections or the article as a whole.

There's https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?ti … &limit=500 but you need to browse it manually as I don't know how to sort it by number of edits.

Hello everyone.
The other day I experimented with the dock/launcher cairo-dock in Openbox. I noticed there was nothing written about it on the wiki here, so I went to the cario-dock wiki and it was a mess, so I started cleaning up that wiki. When that became boring (five days ago) I started hacking this cairo-dock article. Following that, I expanded the avant window navigator and cleaned up the xmobar article. Currently deciding whether I'm going to improve the pypanel article or I'm going to take a vacation.
By the way please join this discussion.

I made a small article in the wiki for configuring tilda. It is really nice to have I found, even though I am already using a tiling wm, it is a lot faster to pull up quickly without wasting space instead of the old MOD+SHIFT+ENTER.
Hope you like it.

Merging...

I solved a two year old merge request by updating and editing three articles; Privoxy, Polipo and Tor. I also added a lot of information to the Irssi section of the Tor article, which relates to a problem in this thread. Additionally, I added some of the information from Mike Stegeman's post, Blocking ads on Arch Linux with Privoxy.

It's my first wiki contribution and it's not finished, by all means. Please take a look and comment!
Link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Android_Notifier
I thought the need for this arose when there was a bug in the app code due to the fact that all other rpms and debs were fitted for fedora and debian/ubuntu and not our great Arch linux. So my attempt is to assemble the info needed for an easier install on Arch. Hope you like it.
By the way, Android Notifier Desktop is small application that recieves messages from your Android phone about sms, mms battery status and more. It's mostly fun but a bit useful as well.
