Re: How can openssl be reinstalled?

HAHA!
Downloading openssl-1.0.0.b-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
tar xpvf openssl-1.0.0.b-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
rm .PKGINFO

Still message,

pacman: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

How can it be downgraded?

N.B. Breaking system is enjoyable to learn something?

arch forums: best entertainement from morning to evening.

@OP, why would you want to reinstall openssl?

if you really want to, extract openssl archive to /, that should do it.

Re: How can openssl be reinstalled?

but you will need an old version of openssl that is not available on the main mirrors given you had not updated the system...

If you want to have a look at the inside of something, just blow it up. Nice approach! But I assume the OP is just making fun of you guys.

Indeed, but you were warned why it's a bad idea, and that you shouldn't do it. People give their time for free to help, you ignored us, and now you want us to help you fix it, detracting from the time we can assist others who have genuine problems that weren't self inflicted.

I join the others in enjoying the LOL's your 3 threads have brought me this morning, but I suggest you endeavour to solve the problem yourself instead of wasting other peoples time.

It's a pathetic way to have a laugh - especially at the expense of being the subject of mockery of a whole community. Then again, bumping your head against the wall is the best way to remember something, but in this particular case, I'm not sure it will even stick. You clearly haven't seen his other posts today Pierre.

My use of genitive particles in English is getting problematic.

Following up on fukawi's suggestion, I am going to close this topic. You talk the talk - but do you walk the walk?
