PPPoE

hopefully someone can answer this quickly for me because i would reall lie to get my router box switched over to using arch linux. What i would like to know is what exactly I need to do to get PPPoE DSL running on it. Are there extra packages needed such as Roaring Penguin? Let me know. Most importantly i need to know how to bring it up on boot (if the need ever arises)

Thanks in advance

I managed to get my Alcatel DSL modem up and running, but required a kernel (2.4.19) recompile as I needed some extra modules for PPPoE.

Are you sure you needed ATM support?  I am adding the modules you listed to the kernel.  Can you test it when it is available?  PPP compression, RFC 1483/2684 and PPPoE support are compiled as modules, not statically linked.
