Make Arch auto-detect Network Start/Stop

I boot my PC while the network(Internet) is booting, so today I booted into Arch & then tried to start the network but Arch didn't detected it. I had to restart the PC in order to make the network accessible. How can I make Arch to auto-detect the network start/stop?

Actually you didn't - you just had to restart the network init script.

Re: Make Arch auto-detect Network Start/Stop

Sorry for the late response. I tried installing 'ifplugd'. It doesn't works smoothly. It is able to detect network start only once when PC is running. Now if I restart the network it fails to detect it. I again have to restart the PC then.

Did you try '/etc/rc.d/network restart' as root?
