Cannot start mysqld

sudo /etc/rc.d/mysqld start
:: Starting MySQL Server
[FAIL] appears after 10 seconds
Followed instructions on wiki on chmodding and copying conf file.
I seem to be missing something.

Re: Cannot start mysqld

What version are you using? Was it an upgrade? What happens if you try to start it from the command line?

Re: Cannot start mysqld

First part of troubleshooting look at logs or manually start the service to get console output
