Mozilla products not working after update

Hello,
after update (about 4 weeks ago) irefox and Thunderbird didn't want to start. I tried reinstalling but it didn't help. When I run it, there is no error in the console and the processes have started, but no windows appears. I'm on 64bit Arch. Anybody knows how to solve this?

delete your .mozilla profile and then try again. Note that this will lose all your settings etc in Firefox and Thunderbird though

Before you do that, try running 'firefox -ProfileManager' and creating a temporary profile.
