VPNC and Securid

Hi,

I'm using vpnc to connect to some distant servers. An RSA SecurID is used for the authentication part.

With basic settings, I lose the connection after 5 minutes even when I'm actively using it.

If I add the following setting to my conf "DPD idle timeout (our side)  0" the connection stay active but I get another problem. After a disconnection (without a proper vpnc-disconnect), I cannot reconnect. The password is asked three times and I get a connection unsuccessful error. The people administrating the vpn server told me they were seeing a connection success on their side.

Any idea how I could manage to keep my connection up without losing the ability to reconnect after an unwanted disconnection ?

My conf looks like this :

IPSec ID XXXXX
IPSec gateway XXXXXX
IPSec secret XXXXX

IKE Authmode psk

Xauth username XXXXXXXX
Xauth interactive

DPD idle timeout (our side) 0

Re: VPNC and Securid

Sometimes I also get this error when trying to connect :

/usr/sbin/vpnc: expected xauth packet; rejected: (ISAKMP_N_PAYLOAD_MALFORMED)(16)

After that I cannot connect (asking the password again and again) and must wait some time before being able to reconnect.
