It seems that on start up the screen resolution is fine and the entire screen is filled properly. However, when I start GNOME, the is about 10-10 pixels that are off the right-hand side of my monitor. How would one go about fixing this?
Thanks,
zeug.

I'd start with the on-screen controls. You should have some dials or buttons on the monitor.

I already look in the monitor's menu for that. However, I did just notice the entire screen seems to be shifted to the right: there is about 10-20 pixels unused on the left and about just as much cut off on the right.

Nevermind, it seems this a hidden montior menu that is only activated by the remote.... Anyway, problem solved!
