Hello everyone,
I'm new to Arch and I'm new to this forum ... First of all sorry for my poor English ..
Now the question, I'm working on a LiveCD / USB Arch (with Archiso " distro " foremergencies( such SystemRescueCd ).
After several days of work have come to a good result and customizing overlays and packages.list. Unfortunately, the final size far exceeds expectations (about 400Mb), in fact we got to about 800MB. I wanted to know if there is some way to optimize the list of packages, the rest of what I need is a minimal environment (including the desktop environment xfce because I had to bet I feel light enough) to perform various operations recovery (eg, testdisk, gparted, partimage, net tests, etc. ..).
Here packages.list I used:

If you want to reduce the size, take out packages you don't want. simple. don't ask us
edit: use pacman -Qi to see installed size of packages

why not simply use the Arch Live CD/USB itself?
you get pacman and all the necessary software which would then enable you to download and install and fix your system in case of "emergencies"
and as Mr Green mentioned, please use

tags around your list.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !
