netcfg: net-profiles doesn't wait for network choice

Recently, net-profiles stopped to wait for me to choice a network profile. Instead, it immediately loads the first profile, without even waiting for a keypress. Pretty useless, right now...
I recently updgraded to KDE 4.6, so I removed hal and fam. This is the only recent big modification I made on my two systems (i686 and x86_64), and now net-profiles doesn't work on both of them. I don't know if hal or fam are the problem, but they should not since netcfg doesn't depend on them...
Thanks

Re: netcfg: net-profiles doesn't wait for network choice

Yesterday I installed Arch from scratch on a netbook and I find that the menu of net-profiles does not work at boot. Specifically, it does not seem to respond to keyboard at all. Moreover, if I run

/etc/rc.d/net-profiles restart

then I get the behaviour described in the previous message: the menu does not wait for input and loads the first profile.

If I run

netcfg-menu

the menu works OK.
