MythWeb 0.24 (Translate.php error)

Hi

I have a fresh ArchBang install and am trying to configure it as a MythTV backend.

I followed the Arch's mythweb Wiki entry but I am stuck at a blank page when I access the page:

Any ideas ?

Well, is modules_path/_shared/lang/English.lang a valid path?

hmm. I don't even know what 'modules-path' is?

How can I find out? Sorry i am not a newbie, but MythWeb usually worked out of the box in Gentoo / Debian.

I am not experienced with  LAMP stuff ...

Re: MythWeb 0.24 (Translate.php error)

I may have a clue, but I am not sure:

Install PKGBUILD of mythplugins-mythweb-0.24-2
--------------
package_mythplugins-mythweb() {
  pkgdesc="Web interface for the MythTV scheduler"
....
  mkdir -p "$pkgdir/srv/http/mythweb"/{image_cache,php_sessions}
  ...
  chmod g+rw "$pkgdir/srv/http/mythweb"/{image_cache,php_sessions,data}
}
--------------

Note: the last command chmod g+rw fails because the folder data has not been created in the previous step ?
Therefore permissions seem not be properly set.

Is this a bug ?

Re: MythWeb 0.24 (Translate.php error)

Sorry, it's not a bug. The data directory is installed in the cp command sandwiched between those two you mentioned.

"modules_path/_shared/lang/English.lang"     =    /srv/http/mythweb/modules/_shared/lang/English.lang

I think you must be missing that file for some reason. You can see that it is part of the package:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/commu … web/files/

I tried editing Translate.php, and both "modules_path" or "modules" works. Anything else will return a blank page. So the path is correct, and if English.lang is not found, it does indeed show your symptom.

I noticed this commit too: https://github.com/MythTV/mythweb/commi … d26fcb7fd1
which reduces the problem from a fatal error to a normal error. (December 29)
