Unable to Switch to Virtual TTY's

Hi, all!

I've just finished an install and am unable to switch to virtual TTY's, using ALT+CTRL+F1-6. When I try to do this, I just get a black screen with a flashing cursor and cannot get back to X on F7. This means I have to reboot to regain control. I remember having this problem a long time ago, but can't remember how it was resolved.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Chris.
