Limit internet upload speed

Hello there!, I have a limited upload connection (only 5 GBs month) and I'm looking  for a simple solution to avoid this issue. As far I know this is possible configuring iptables. Can someone share a simple config file or instead another solution?

http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort … =&limit=50 can only limit speed, not the overall amount.
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort … =&limit=50 will show the amount, but won't take any action by itself.
