ASUS N53J: Will not powerdown.

ISSUE: When I "poweroff" or "shutdown -h [-P] now" (-P for good measure) It just prints poweroff and the LEDs all turn on and the laptop stops.

While searching the forums and the wiki I found various kernel options to add when booting up like acpi=force and acpi=on acpi=power-off.

Adding such options did nothing for my issue. Windows also had no issue turning off when it was installed.

I have also tried disabling all the kernel modules I have added to get sound working and to turn off the nVidia chip for optimus (acpi_call). I have even tried blacklisting the asus_laptop module.
