[Solved] Exim "refused connection from" everything

I've been trying to configure an MTA, any MTA, to receive mail for my server. I ran into a lot of troubles with postfix, so when I heard about exim I decided to give it a try. Long story short, I can receive local mail fine, but nothing from the internet. Every time I get something from my gmail, /var/log/exim/rejectlog gets a new line or two saying something like

2011-04-09 02:41:50 refused connection from [209.85.160.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:42:02 refused connection from [209.85.160.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:42:07 refused connection from [209.85.160.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:49:27 refused connection from [209.85.210.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:49:32 refused connection from [209.85.210.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:57:49 refused connection from mail-pz0-f52.google.com [209.85.210.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 02:57:59 refused connection from mail-pz0-f52.google.com [209.85.210.52] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 03:03:22 refused connection from mail-px0-f175.google.com [209.85.212.175] (tcp wrappers)
2011-04-09 03:03:27 refused connection from mail-px0-f175.google.com [209.85.212.175] (tcp wrappers)

Gmail thinks the message is deliverable, as there are no "permanent delivery failure" notifications from it. It does seem to be retrying to send the messages every 3-15 minutes though.
My config can be found here. It's mostly the default setup, as its hard to find information about configuring it.

Our fine wiki has nothing on this subject. Searching for the "refused ..." message brings up a lot of problems with sending mail, which I can do just fine.

Does anyone have any pointers?

Re: [Solved] Exim "refused connection from" everything

I have been trying now for several hours, but I still haven't gotten anywhere. My best guess is that I'm missing something obvious. It seems to reject the connection outright, without even looking at any access control lists. I tried changing it to just "accept", and it does the same exact thing.

I've even tried some configs I found off a link of exim.org, and nothing. I've looked into /etc/conf.d/exim, but it looks like it is passing the correct switches (maybe I'm wrong here).

Time for a long break. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any insight!

I could kiss you mysterious newcomer!

It really was that simple, I feel like a moron. So I'll remember in the future, just because an application says "refused connection" doesn't mean that it refused the connection.

Thank you again!
