Save cookies between sessions in lynx

Lynx doesn't save cookies between sessions, which I find very disturbing, I googled it and as I understood it it's a compile-time option. I found no hits for lynx in AUR either. Am I missing something or am I better off making a PKGBUILD request?

Re: Save cookies between sessions in lynx

man lynx wrote:

-cookie_file=FILENAME
specifies a file to use to read cookies. If none is specified, the default value is ~/.lynx_cookies for most systems, but ~/cookies for MS-DOS.
-cookie_save_file=FILENAME
specifies a file to use to store cookies. If none is specified, the value given by -cookie_file is used.
-cookies
toggles handling of Set-Cookie headers.

Don't they work? Haven't tried it myself, but seems like what you're looking for.

Re: Save cookies between sessions in lynx

nope, doesn't work. Even if I create the file manually nothing in it is touched. I have set a file in .lynxrc and that doesn't work either.
