My ath9k board won't load at boot, and network script gives a "WIRELESS_TIMEOUT...." error.
Using "/etc/rc.d/network restart" after booting will bring it up.
I edited the /etc/rc.d/network script to issue a second iwconfig on the interface, and that worked. It now loads correctly at boot time.
Do you know a better solution to this?
[EDIT]
Also, I'm getting system freeze from a simple "smbclient -L serverIP" or just launching gkrellm (whenever some software tries to use wireless device)
Something is terribly wrong with this driver
