gnome3 - two instances of one application?

How can I run two instances of terminal or gqview or anything in Gnome3?
If I click on application icon it jumps to already open one.
What if I want to run one terminal on one virtual desktop and another on second?

I don't see what's so wrong with something like this. I don't see a reason why every single feature should be exposed as a button of some sort. Also, you can right-click the icon and click "new window", so ctrl+click is just a shortcut.

Yes, I agree.... Excepting that it is a small part of the complete interface change away from what Gnome users have had for the last 10+ years.
