can't poweroff

Dear all,

When I am running my laptop (MSI A6200) with the battery power, I can't shut down my laptop. I have tried the command "poweroff" and "halt" in the root account, but these commands do not work. I hear a strange "click" sound and then the computer just restarts. However, when I am using my laptop with the AC, the problem disappears.

This problem does not appear when I boot my computer with a USB drive containing "Fedora 14".

Would you mind to give me some hints?

Thanks.
