NetworkManager + Stuck On Connecting

I have this really odd problem, basically when I try to connect to a certain wireless network (which happens to be at home), it gets stuck on "connecting" when trying to connect to the network. It gets all the DNS and IP address info (which you can see when you click on network settings) however the options button is unavailable.

However If I run the commands
ifconfig wlan0  down
ifconfig wlan0 up

in terminal, the network suddenly connects and ends up working properly (although this doesn't always work). The card is a Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300

I am using networkmanager 0.8.999, running it through Gnome 3.0.1

Im checking the logs, and NetworkManager just gets stuck at Activation (wlan0) Stage 4 of 5 (IP4 Configure Get) complete.

The last line in dmesg | tail is just wlan0: associated
