Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

Maybe ports are closed? Are you sure your torrent has seeds/peers?:3

Try 'transmission-gtk'. IMO better client (supports uTP).

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

Hello riddle and thanx for your answer!I'm sure that my torrents has seeds/peers! smile
Here's the thing i tried twice to download a torrent with transmission; the first time it stopped at 61% ,the second at 17% and the third time it downloaded successfully! But now that it's finished it won't stay connected to seed!It says:

"Tracker gave an error: Connection Failed"

Does this mean that this is pirate bay's problem?

Also, how can i check if my ports are working properly?

And finally do you know how can i make deluge work?

Thanx again for your quick reply! smile

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

With Deluge, I find that I have to restart the daemon before I get any action. I don't know if this is just my setup or a bigger problem but I haven't had the time to look into it yet.

So, when I'm sure my internet connection is up and connected I run:

/etc/rc.d/deluged restart

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

@jack Hello jack and thank you for your answer!I've already tried that and also made deluge do that automatically through the daemon and yet i get no connections via deluge.

@riddle Transmission seems to work fine for both leeching/seeding and thanx for your advice!

Any other ideas on how to fix the connections for deluge and on how to check my if ports are configured properly?

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

In transmission-gtk  Edit->Preferences->Network: Test Port.
If its open, take the same port on deluge(I dont know where you can find this options in deluge, should be somewhere;) ).

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

It means that your computer is not able to accept incoming communication on that port. However transmission got list of peers from tracker so it could download torrent. Why deluge could not? I have no idea, and I do not want to guess. Maybe if you run deluge by typing command in terminal it will show some logs. If so, you can also try --help and check if there is any verbosity option.

Re: Unable to enable connections to deluge

You mean how to make it opened? I guess you are behind nat, you only have to make port forwarding on you router. If you are directly connected to your internet provider and ports are still closed you have a problem. You can ask them to make it opened, and cross fingers that they agree on this. Personally I doubt they do so, at least in Poland they are very stubborn in this case.
