nepomukservices using 100% CPU resources

Hello guys

Since upgrading to KDE 4.6.4 nepomukservices uses 100% of one of my beloved cores. I haven't messed with any configuration settings since the upgrade, hence that is why I believe its the cause.

By now I have give it more than 30 minutes+ of CPU time, but it hasn't done anything meaningful.

Has anyone had these kinds of symptons since the upgrade, or am I just the unlucky in in the bunch XD ? ...

Any tips on how to troubleshoot would be helpful as well.

Thank you!

I'm not sure, but I think nepomuk needs MySQL and it might busy wait if it cannot connect.

Try to rebuild nepomuk database, also disable desktop search feature in K-Runner. kde 4.6.4 is quite stable for me. It's never kill my CPU again.

If you don't really use nepomuk, just disable it as described here : http://www.freetechie.com/blog/disable- … cid-10-04/

I disabled the desktop search in k-runner, but it didn't have any effects. How do I go about rebuilding the nepomuk database? I tried to search for it but didn't find any helpful information.

I know, I've disabled it since the problem came up, but I want to get it fixed ;-)
