Hey guys, I'm not used to publish here, so forgive me if I'm wrong category or anything. ![]()
For some time, I wondered how I could help the community of Archlinux that really helped me in Linux learning. I llike creating website with CMS. So I thought why not create a website that is actually a collection of ideas to improve the world of computing and Linux. That's how IdeaMarks is born! ![]()
LINK TO THE WEBSITE (alternalty, you can use this link
You can go see the ideas that have been tagged "archlinux" for an overview of the proposals. I would be really grateful if you help me to build the database by publishing ideas, commenting and voting that already published.
What do you think? ![]()
Thank you!

Isn't this what our bugtracker is for. Except that devs actually pay attention to the bugtracker?

** I looked at the bug tracker, and you were right... It's also used for improvements
I guess I'll close the website ![]()
Well, for me, a bug tracker is more for the inner aspect of the distribution, the core components, bugs in application, spelling errors...

A bugtracker is it not rather to report errors in development?

bug trackers -- inspite of the name -- do allow feature requests/enhancements.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

I simply don't see the link between the ideas shared on that site and the implementation. Sure, some stuff in the bugtracker is old too, but many things are solved pretty quickly. But please don't just dump ideas, dive into the code and produce a patch or something.
Here you have the bug db sorted in a way that shows some non-bugs first: general gripe and feature requests are legitimate uses of bug tracker too.
