Hi,
every time I start VirtualBox I receive a message that there was one or more virtual hard drives or DVD drives that aren't accessible.
If I click on the button to check this issue I can see an .iso with an exclamation mark but there are no additional options. In the right click menu "remove" is greyed out.
Any way to delete it anyhow?

IIRC there's an xml file that keeps that info so you can edit it manually.
What exactly happened? Did you remove the virtual drive w/o first "unloading" it via the Virtualbox interface? What do you use it for? Maybe you can pick another iso (the same way you did it the first time, from the virtual machine setup interface) in its place so the warnings stop.
Disclaimer: The last time I've used Virtualbox was a couple years ago on Windows XP ;P

Open the VirtualBox console and then
File --> Virtual Media Manager Or you can simply hit Ctrl+D. See if you are able to Release a missing drive from there and after releasing, the Remove option should get enabled.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Using Ctrl+D brings me to the dialogue I referred to and where I can't delete the wrong iso.
@Karol: It's a GuestAddition iso. The installation of VirtualBox is VERY old and this must be an old left over ;b Deleting it from the xml file solved it. THX

You may try to edit ~/.Virtualbox/VirtualBox.xml.
