Dear Arch users
Since about a week I cannot use mythtv anymore, because I always get the often seen "Could not connect to backend" error.
I had this error multiple times since my first steps using MythTV back in 2002.
But this time I had everything working for 4 months since initial setup.
I might have done an pacman -Syu upgrade around the time, when the problem started.
The only error message I could identify as a possible cause so far is "QMulticastSocket: setsockopt - IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP Error"
Since this problem started I have another network related problem with Samba. Everything is working fine until I start moving a big file to the shared folder from Win7. It aborts with "connection "

I think I solved the samba issue by changing my router's settings.
It's a WRT54GS v.2.2 Bug with DD-WRT. After setting right clock frequency in DD-WRT for this model I can finally transfer large files over my homenetwork.
