Netgear DGN1000 + Wicd + ? = UNKNOWN Device Name

Dear all,

I connect to my router Netgear DGN1000 via wireless using wicd.

If I look the attached devices in the router status page, my notebook is listed as UNKNOWN in the column: Device Name.
I'm also experiencing some trouble browsing the web,  for example youtube videos often sticks without being loaded or I can't log into my university site.

Could this be a configuration problem?
