It is very strange for me, but I can't connect to the Internet if I didn't ping nameserver from my /etc/resolv.conf.
I initiate a connection through /usr/bin/pon or automatically through /etc/rc.conf. But the result is the same - interface ppp0 has ip 10.64.64.64.
And pppd can't get normal ip addres. But when I ping nameserver - at a moment I get normal ip and internet connection.
This problem is on my laptop and recently installed arch on my home pc (there was a Genoo before - and no such problem).
My /etc/ppp/peers/provider:
plugin rp-pppoe.so
eth0
name "somename"
usepeerdns
persist
demand
defaultroute
maxfail 0
hide-password
noauth
pppd version 2.4.5
Will be grateful for help.
