dhcpd issue

t@myhost joe]# dhcpcd
dhcpcd[717]: version 5.2.12 starting
dhcpcd[717]: no interfaces have a carrier

[root@myhost joe]# dhcpcd -x
dhcpcd[730]: sending signal 15 to pid 728
dhcpcd[730]: waiting for pid 728 to exit
[root@myhost joe]# dhcpcd
dhcpcd[736]: version 5.2.12 starting
dhcpcd[736]: eth0: rebinding lease of 192.168.1.100
dhcpcd[736]: eth0: acknowledged 192.168.1.100 from 192.168.1.1
dhcpcd[736]: eth0: checking for 192.168.1.100
dhcpcd[736]: eth0: leased 192.168.1.100 for 86400 seconds

[root@myhost joe]#

this happens everytime.
I run it once, nothing happems I "dhcpd -x" and run it again and it works fine.

Do you have net-tools installed? They provide hostname.
