[solved] Forum e-mails and reports

I'm just curious about one little thing: if I e-mail a forum member using the forum e-mail form and immediately after this I want to report on another user, I get a message that I need to wait a minute before reporting again:

At least 60 seconds have to pass between reports. Please wait a while and try sending again.

I find it a bit confusing. Should I open a bug report upstream or is it something the forum admins have set up locally?

Re: [solved] Forum e-mails and reports

There are 3 different flood intervals that can be set. Searches and Posts are set at 30 and the email is set at 60. The 60 second limit has been set locally by the admins for the emails. There is no separate limit to be set for Reports. So I assume that emails and Reports are considered to be the same by the FluxBB devs. However, the fact that an email is considered to be a report should probably be filed as a bug report upstream.

The forum admins do not define what does and does not constitute as Reports.

Thanks for the explanation, I'll see if it's already reported upstream.

As a FluxBB dev, I can confirm that it has not been reported. Please do that.

Thank you. I'll take a look at it before the next release.

Re: [solved] Forum e-mails and reports

That was fast indeed. I have another bug report in the works. This one won't be so easy ;-)

Marking as solved.
