KDE Printer Settings COnfigure Printer Not Working

Have new Arch install With KDE.  Love it but the printer config in settings is broke and giving me this message;

[start]

The service ' Printer Configuration' does not provide an interface 'KCModule' with keyword 'system-config-printer-kde/system-config-printer-kde.py '  The factory does not support creating components of the specified type.

Possible reasons
An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control module.

You have old third party modules lying around.

Check the points carefully and try to remove the module mentioned in the error message. If this fails consider contacting your distributor or packager.

[end]
This is the second install and it has done it both times.  Am running the lastest Arch download and installed kde. I have a wireless printer that is already set up and works. I was able to config and print from kubuntu 10.10 last night from the same compter. Need suggestions!

Re: KDE Printer Settings COnfigure Printer Not Working

I encountered the same problem.  Never figured out what it was.  Some more updating eventually gave me back the config screen, but I couldn't do anything like add a printer from it because it would throw "client-error-forbidden".

My best guess is it's just how new KDE 4.7 is, unfortunately.  As much of a non-answer as this may be, you could try using the CUPS interface to set up your printer.  Works just as well, and applications will still see it.

This isn't the signature you're looking for...  Move along...

Re: KDE Printer Settings COnfigure Printer Not Working

for Deemoney14:
It sounds for me like a permission problem. Have you set it up properly?
Works for me: See post 9

I have followed also these:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CUPS

for TomHyatt:
look similar to one old bug and I have same problem with fresh install of system / KDE 4.7:
