interesting, i wasnt aware of the changes with the new version
Anyway
I went ahead and copied the environement file to .config/openbox
and changed the autostart.sh to just autostart
Still no luck, the programs are still not starting with the system
I did notice theres an autostart folder now. my autostart is located in .config/openbox, would moving it make a difference?

Wouldn't it be a lot simpler if you tried it before posting? Then you could report back with it (does||doesn't) work, which would be more helpful...

ok i tried it with no avail
i really cant figure out why the programs wont start with the system. the files are all correctly placed

Can you list the files contained in /.config/openbox, there should be 4. Can you also post the contents of the autostart and environment files.

nankura, do you ever search the forums before posting??
This topic has been discussed in multiple threads before. Also this is not the first time this has to be told to you. Please search before posting. Note the key word "before"
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

You dont have to be so rude, ofcourse i searched, thats why im posting, because i tried quite a phew fix's and nothing seem's to get it to work
The 4 files contained in the folder are autostart / rc.xml / environement / menu.xml
the contents of autostart are listed in the first post
As for environement, its all default, i have yet to make any changes there.

@nankura
In your first post (and in the thread's title) you mention autostart.sh which had a name change and you didn't say a word about what have you already tried. This would lead me to think you haven't searched before posting. We're not mind-readers so unless you share some info with us, we won't know about it.

In your autostart file
conky
shoul be
conky &
that's why all the lines after that one are not launched.

In the end, berbae. the & was the problem. it was a silly silly mistake i made while editing the config a phew days ago
Thanks all
