[SOLVED] Problems mounting NFS share

I recently installed NFS to enable my laptop to access files on my desktop via my LAN. The fstab entry for the NFS share specifies "noauto", so the share only mounts when I click on the filemanager icon. I am using pcmanfm-git as my file manager.

I tested the setup thoroughly and everything worked fine, and I used it successfully.

I recently tried to access the share again, and got the following erropr message:

DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending

I cannot remember whether this follows an upgrade or not.

I googled the message and found a solution which recommended removing the file .hal-mtab from /media. I did this on both machines, but without any success. I do not use hal on either machine.

I would be very grateful for any advice on how to resolve this.

Thanks in advance

Re: [SOLVED] Problems mounting NFS share

This seems to be a firewall issue on the server. Disabling UFW solves the problem.

Many thanks to everyone who has viewed this, and my apologies for not finding this sooner!

Edit: Enabling ufw on the server with the correct port opened provides a permanent solution.
