Is there a plugin for viewing quicktime videos in firefox?
i don't know for sure but maybe mplayer-plugin would work. i know it plays windows media and such with the correct codec installed.
thank iBertus! Works just fine.

maybe of use - covers other formats too
Mplayer-plugin works wonderfully for quicktime files.
Kern: Oh man, I'll have to try that out...
Edit: On second thought, I'll have to try Mozplugger out. Mozplugger does the same thing as that Firefox extension, but is probably a better solution, since it doesn't require you to use Firefox.
The mplayer-plugin is definately the best choice. Because you won't have to bother with codecs all over. Just the ones you're using for mplayer normally.
I can´t get the mplayer-plugin to work.
I get sound but always the message "no picture"
Check to see if you have any VLC plugins in /opt/mozilla-plugins/ There is a VLC bug where it overrides the mplayer plugin and gives you a nopicture error. There should be two vlc plugins there.. just delete them both and restart firefox.
thanks now it works.
