New Motherboard Is It Ok to Use?

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure where the best place to find out if my motherboard will be supported under Linux so though maybe someone here could point me to the right direction or might know.

I have a ASUS M4A78LT-M-LE which according to the specs is running the following chipsets:

AMD 760G/SB710
(AMD 780L/SB710)

Thanks in advance guys.

The odds are very good you will be able to boot into Linux and have working audio, USB, drive controllers, etc.  The cool stuff like suspend and hibernate are very hit and miss on desktop boards.  If Google doesn't help you, then the only thing you can do is boot a live CD/DVD/USB stick and try it out.

I have a 760-based board and it's fine... I'm not aware of any boards that aren't supported.
