Hi guys,
I'm using pulseaudio as my sound output on XFCE. For some reason, after booting the volume always defaults to the maximum level. Is there a way so that it remembers the volume level from the last shutdown?

EDIT: My mistake: the actual solution was to add the alsa daemon to /etc/rc.conf.
I had the same problem: the volume always returned to a specific default after every boot. My solution was to run (as root)
alsactl storeApparently this creates a file which stores sound levels at shutdown and automatically restores them at boot. There's more useful information on the Arch Wiki page for Alsa.
