Hi,
I'm having issues with gnome network settings.
When I try to change network interface configuration, a windows appears prompting for root password, but it closes quickly, so quickly that I have no time to enter my root password.
A workaround I've found, is to execute the application in a terminal with sudo, but that is awful.
does this happen to anybody?
I've found this bug http://lists.opensuse.org/archive/opens … 02775.html but remains as new, from 20 may, so I guess the same happens with gnome 3.0.

run nm-connection-editor in terminal
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26550
now i see that you are second users who have this problem. sounds like a real bug to be and should be reported upstream

Yes, running that command in terminal works as expected. That's what I'm doing. How can this bug be reported upstream?
Something similar have happened to me when I tried to configure my printer via network. At least, it seems to happen in some applications, not just this one.

report the bug in gnome-shell product because the prompt is in gnome-shell.
add the exact steps on how to replicate it and then how to make it work. then paste the link here
