[SOLVED] Installation of LAMP stack "fails"

I am trying to setup a local Drupal developer installation on my desktop. As I did not have Apache and the whole stack installed, I started by following the instructions for the LAMP installation at: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LAMP.

I got no error on the various installation steps. However, when I start httpd and point a browser to localhost, instead of the usual Apache page I get a directory listing of the whole (empty) DocumentRoot directory (i.e. /srv/http I did not change the default). I did not pay too much attention to that, and proceeded to download a fresh Drupal install, copied the files to /srv/http and pointed the browser to localhost. As before, I now get the listing of the directory, instead of having php execute the install script.

So it seems there is something messed up in the Apache?LAMP installation. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Stefano

SOLVED.

I had forgotten the instruction "check that you have added "Includes" to the "Options" line for your root directory in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf" from the Arch LAMP wiki page
Sorry for the noise
