Re: LAVA 720g data card not recognised

Are you sure it is not recognized?  I see warnings yes, but I also so that it attached sdc.  What does sudo fdisk /dev/sdc -l say?

Re: LAVA 720g data card not recognised

[root@myhost sudeep]# fdisk /dev/sdc -l
[root@myhost sudeep]#

So, nothing.

Re: LAVA 720g data card not recognised

Upon a little further digging, I tried the following:

modprobe cdc_acm
modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1c9e product=0x9605

Then, I tried to see if the modem was recognised, and it indeed was -

[root@myhost etc]# ls /dev/ttyUSB*
/dev/ttyUSB0  /dev/ttyUSB1  /dev/ttyUSB2

the I tried

[root@myhost etc]# wvdial bsnl

and I got the following output

[root@myhost etc]# wvdial bsnl
--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61
--> Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATZ
ATZ

Now what is the problem?
