Hello everybody,
I updated my system two days ago, now i cannot load ndiswrapper module, when i try with modprobe I obtain this error message:
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/3.1.5-1-ARCH/extramodules/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko.gz):Invalid argumentI searched for the path displayed and it's correct, I tried also to unistall and reinstall ndiswrapper but nothing seems to go...
Any suggestion?

There is already bug report open for this issue. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/27565

Thanks for the answer, so this is a bug :-(

There are native linux drivers for most wifi chipsets these days - are you sure you still have to use ndiswrapper?
Offline
I haven't found native linux driver for Sis163u chipset, that my Amilo 1703 uses, so I still have to use ndiswrapper for wireless networking.
Offline
Whoa, SiS made a wireless chipset? Interesting. This'll be off-topic, but can you post lspci -nn output of your machine?
Offline
Also my wifi card doesn't have native linux drivers...
Offline
it was needed a rebuild by the mantainer, done, problem solved!!

Hmm, no wireless card on that list. Maybe it's an usb device, so can you post the output of lsusb?
And another off-topic question: Which driver are you using for that VIA Chrome9 graphic card and do you get any 3D acceleration? VIA machines (with SiS components even!) are rare nowadays, so I hope you don't mind me being a bit curious.

Yupp, this is some old Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 1703 laptop, that I'm running on arch, because it's lite enough. Currently I'm using xf86-video-openchrome drivers for graphic card and at least I can run some openGL stuff with it. For basic desktop use those drivers have been working very well.
Edit: There are these http://www.wikidevi.com/files/SiS/ SiS drivers for linux, but I haven't been able to compile those for Arch.
