Hello Everyone,
My graphics is Intel 82845G Chipset and Im using Fluxbox now. I orginnaly used intel driver but it was really sux so i changed it to vesa driver and now everything work better then on Intel driver - but still is so low performance (redraw/screen refresh and moving windows)for this graphics/CPU (Celeron D 2,56 Ghz and Inetl 82845G with 1Gb DDR).

Have you tried https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 04#p938004

But my Xorg is not crashing or freezing - its just have very poor performance. I think this is not that kind of problem. Any ideas? Just remember that my Xorg is fully stable

Err, you're very confusing here. You said the intel driver "sux" and that the vesa driver is better, but it has slow performance. What does it mean that the intel driver "sux" and how can the vesa driver be better if it's so slow?

IMO vesa work better - dont know why exactly but moving windows and minimalize/maximize Firefox for example is faster and smoother (not like I have 10 FPS). I try with intel driver and meyby again and make 'Option - "Shadow" "True"'. But as I wrote - I dont get any crash or freezes. It just so "slow" on intel driver, I dont have smooth movement when I try to move console window oraz firefox windows for example.

Sorry for double post guys ![]()
I found that I dont have file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf or this file is empty - but why? My xorg.conf is empty too.

There's no xorg.conf by default as it's not needed anymore. It's preferable to setup things in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/*.conf files which you can create yourself.
