Hello,
I have updated my systems today morning and a remina Update was provided. Now I have no more shortcuts on my gnome3 and also on my xfce machine. Remmina can actually only be started via console.
Also there are some bugs with the resizing window buttons, Ctrl+R+1 resizes not to the destination host solution, it resizes to the local host.

Yes I have a similar issue.
I'm using remmina on kde and after update the qt theme is not loaded anymore. Also I can only access remmina by terminal. I do not see any menu entry.
Also the freerdp plugin gives some errors when try to connect to a windows host using remmina .
freerdp_load_library_symbol: failed to open /usr//usr/lib/freerdp/cliprdr.so: /usr//usr/lib/freerdp/cliprdr.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
freerdp_load_plugin: failed to load cliprdr/VirtualChannelEntry
freerdp_load_library_symbol: failed to open /usr//usr/lib/freerdp/rdpdr.so: /usr//usr/lib/freerdp/rdpdr.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Same problems still after a few updates to remmina and freerdp last night. GUI Entry still missing
$ remmina &Works for me, bring up the gui with my connections. I also can add and edit them. Only resizing window still not work correct, width will work, but hight is the local screen resolution and not the remote.
Updated also again the xfce system, there are the same problems too.

I've noticed this also on one of my boxes. It seems to have also gotten crappier. C&P doesn't work that well and the graphics have gotten bad... not updating and some artifacts

Same here. No entry for Remmina in the applications menu, using XFCE4.
In /usr/share/applications the file remmina.desktop has been removed by the update, which is the reason that there is no menu entry.
Also, I used to have the command "remmina -i" in my autostart. This started remmina minimized to the indicators area, without showing the full interface. However the -i option is no longer recognized by remmina after the update.
All in all, a rather disappointing update. Pity, it's the nicest VNC client I knew.

I have also the artifacts, and sometimes the RDP Session crashes with an ssl error. Restart of complete remmina is required.

Guys - since you're all kinda new to Arch judging by your low number of posts, the best way you can communicate problems with a package is by opening a bugreport: https://bugs.archlinux.org/ ... unless the package maintainer is actively reading the forums, you stand a very good chance of no action being taken since he/she has no idea the problem exists. Example, I opened one on this very package last night and it was fixed within 24 h. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28408
Anyway, korgan1983 - since you posted about this, please open a bug report and I'm sure the maintainer will fix it.

An update about this problem.
About remmina no longer appearing in the applications menu, there is this arch bug open. Also there are two already closed bugs upstream: this one and this one.
It seems to be fixed upstream already. The commit with the fix happened 3 days ago, but there is still no stable tag from github that includes the fix.
About the -i option no longer being recognized, an arch bug has also been opened. However it's not an arch packaging error, but an upstream bug. An upstream bug was already open to report this, please feel free to comment there:
https://github.com/FreeRDP/Remmina/issues/14
Also I contacted the remmina package maintainer for arch (Sergej Pupykin) to inform him that the upstream URL http://sourceforge.net/projects/remmina is no longer updated, and the the package page should be updated with the current upstream URL https://github.com/FreeRDP/Remmina

You know what they say about assuming... Maybe we're just good at finding answers we need without posting. ![]()

Thank you very much for that hint. I have registert me at the flyspray bug system, but can't log into it. Seems that an admin has to enable my account. Anyway, I will open 2 Bug reports for the artifacts and the ssl error force close asap after login is working.

I have after registration still no access to the bug report tool. Please report someone else the 2 open points. Thanks a lot!

korgan1983: there's no need to open new bug reports. Both problems have open bug reports (see my post above) in the arch bugtracker, and also upstream bug reports (as they are not arch packaging bugs but upstream bugs, and therefore have to be fixed upstream).
If you want to add something, you can do it in the comments to those bug reports. You should not open duplicate bug reports, as the Arch reporting bug guidelines clearly state.
