bsdcpio: Failed to set default locale

Hi

I noticed this error happening on my last few installs.

Shouldnt there be a default locale when installing?

[2012-02-15 17:07] ==> Generating module dependencies

Please post the output of 'locale' and 'locale -a'.

My rc.conf locale is empty.
In the installation wizard there is not locale setup other then editing the rc.conf.

If I recall the previous rc.conf had a default US locale.
Am I correct?

Yes, the current default rc.conf is empty http://projects.archlinux.org/initscrip … ee/rc.conf
Try setting some reasonable LOCALE and uncomment the same locale in /etc/locale.gen & regenerate the locale by running 'locale-gen' as root.

I had the same error and a mix of "en_GB*" and "en_US*" in locale.gen and rc.conf. Above made me aware and solved it, thanks.
