Broadway with GTK+-3.2.3-1 and Firefox-10.0.2

I'm trying to setup Broadway but I'm having a few issues. First off, upon running GDK_BACKEND=broadway gedit& I get a response from the terminal saying [1] and then a PID. Opening 127.0.0.1:8080 in Firefox gives me an error saying "WebSocket not supported, input will not work!" and a blank screen, no gedit window. If I run gedit on the host machine, I get

Unable to listen to port 8080: Error binding to address: Address already in use

(gedit:1094): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_display_get_screen: assertion `GDK_IS_DISPLAY (display)' failed

and then I have to CTRL+C and then it closes with a seg fault. With another program, like Code::Blocks for example the terminal once again responds with the PID and then proceeds to execute the program inside the terminal, same error about WebSocket and no window inside Firefox. I've gone into about:config thinking the issue would be there but to no avail. Any suggestions?
