Firefox won't connect to non-vpn sites

I have Cisco AnyConnect setup in a 32bit chroot and it works flawlessly except for in Firefox. I am able to go to sites both on and off the VPN when using Chromium (from 64bit land), and all the command line tools that access the network have no issues either. However in Firefox I am only able to go to sites that are on the VPN, it is unable to find any other site (such as google.com).

thanks

Try adding OpenDNS to your /etc/resolv.conf file.
