Setting up wifi; RTNETLINK answers: no such device

Hey, I've just started using Archlinux and I'm really loving it. I'm a Linux newbie, though, so I'm a little lost here. I'm trying to set up my wifi connection; iwconfig shows this:

[root@Reynard raphael]# iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=19 dBm
          Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:off

eth0 no wireless extensions.

But when I type 'ip link set wlan0 up', it comes up with 'RTNETLINK answers: No such device'. What should be done?

There's a very decent wiki article about how to get wifi up and running. Have a look here.
