Right now, I've got a very weird problem concerning the xfce-session-logout and wicd originating probably from dbus.
What happens is the following:
Whenever I log into Arch via slim after rebooting, I encounter the problem where every xfce-session-logout buttons are greyed out and suspend and all that isn't working.
If I try to do it manually, it even tells me via notification, that I do not have the authority to do anything power management related.
Now the interesting part:
When I then RESTART or STOP and START the dbus daemon, the power management stuff works, the xfce-session-logout buttons start to work (altough suspend and hibernate go missing, but work when invoked manually from the terminal).
I've got in my daemon-list the following:
DAEMONS=(hwclock dbus vboxdrv netfs crond dhcpd slim wicd cupsd alsa)
and I tried completely removing everything dbus related and reinstalling it.
It's really strange and I hope you guys can help me here. This started some updates ago. Probably updating dbus.

Oh dear lord. Please search the forums for one of the two or three dozen threads on this exact issue. It's the slim update.
