RTL8187 Connection issues

I have a problem with this USB card connecting to a WEP access point.
The problem is this:
1. It connects fine, signal is strong.
2. I run PING command on the router ip
3. It goes fine for 5-20 seconds, and then pins stop. (Host unrecheable). But network is still connected.
4. I need to manually disconnect and connect again, to gain another 5-20 seconds of connectivity.

The card is fine. Connects without issues on Win XP and on BackTrack.
Also, the network is fine, too, because I can normally connect to it with my built-in Intel wifi card.

I suspect the drivers. What can I do?
