Unable to resume from suspend on kernel 3.4.3

Hi,
after upgrading to kernel 3.4.2 or so, my system has got to freeze when resuming from suspend-to-ram.
Curiously, this problem doesn't occur if I have started vlc media player once before suspend.
There is "xcb_connection_has_error() returned true" in pm-suspend.log, so this might be caused by a sound driver.
