Browsers hang loading webpages

Hello and thanks in advance for your help.
I'm running Archlinux x64 with everything updated (without [testing]) and I'm running in a weird issue with my connection lately.
When I load a page (tried with chromium and firefox) there is a possibility the loading never completes, leaving the page half-rendered. It happens mostly on gmail (the loading bar would just stop) or igoogle (no chat would appear). A page reload usually solves the issue, but everytime I load a page there's a chance for it to happen.
I didn't notice connection problems outside of browsers. Pinging a website works without any packet loss and downloading updates with pacman always worked so far (I ran into a couple of corrupted downloads lately, to be fair).
I use a D-link DWA-131 with the r8712u driver. My PC is stuck in a corner of the house, so unless it's the only way to troubleshoot the problem, I cannot try the ethernet connection. I have to say that when running windows on the same hardware the problem isn't there.
Can you help me figure out what's wrong with my box?
Thanks

Re: Browsers hang loading webpages

You SHOULD try to test your machine on an ethernet cable connection.
If the same hardware does not reproduce the "bug" with an other OS, I would suspect a driver problem.
And you SHOULD try your router with another wireless-connected device too, to see if the problem comes from your router's wireless interface.

Thanks for the reply. When I'm back home I'll try with a wired connection. I have an android phone which can connect without issues, so I doubt it's the router's fault (unless I'm missing something, I'm really a newbie as far as networking goes).

Re: Browsers hang loading webpages

So, I tried with my ethernet connection and there's no such a problem, so the issue is definitely with the wireless connection.
I also noticed that the problem arises when I'm connecting to a https site. Even if I try to download something with wget from a https website it fails repeatedly giving the error "SSL3_GET_RECORD: decryption failed or bad record mac". Any idea?

Re: Browsers hang loading webpages

Ok, yet another update. It seems to be a driver regression as with the linux-lts kernel everything works fine. The issue is there even with the 3.5 kernel. Is there any patch that I can use to build a newer kernel version or should I just stick with the lts one? Thanks again!
