accidentally deleted /lib folder and its contents

I still have some processes running including firefox. So, I can browse internet.
how can I recover my system?
Plz help!

You can probably run firefox until humpty dumpy falls and then you won't even be able to control-alt-delete to restart.  You'll most likely have to power cycle the computer to get it to restart.  But then again, do you have a way back in when you restart (LiveCD/USB)?


I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

There are 4 methods:
- You have busybox (and an open root shell or busybox with setuid)
- You still have a method to chmod, a root shell and you can download: download busybox, chmod +x and run as root.
- reboot with break=postmount
- live cd
All methods have already been explained.
